American sports car wins the 12 Hours of Sebring!
No, I'm not specifically talking about how Olivier Beretta, Oliver Gavin, and Jan Magnussen won the GT1 class of the 54th annual Twelve Hours of Sebring with a Corvette C6-R.
Scott Maxwell, David Brabham, and Tom Milner just won the the GT2 class of the same race with a Panoz Esperante GTLM (# 50) run by Multimatic Motorsports Team Panoz. The GT2 class had 25 lead changes with all four marques leading (Porsche, Ferrari, BMW, and Panoz). http://www.multimaticmotorsports.com...2&task=article Pics from the race http://www.multimaticmotorsports.com...3&task=article Brabham captured the GT2 class pole. http://www.multimaticmotorsports.com...1&task=article David Brabham Team LNT (the European Panoz Esperante team) http://www.americanlemans.com/News/Article.aspx?ID=1428 This is the best finish Panoz has had at the Twelve Hours of Sebring since 1998 with the GTR-1 "when Panoz veteran David Brabham teamed with Andy Wallace to finish 2nd overall and win the GT prototype class [GT1]." - http://www.multimaticmotorsports.com...0&task=article David Brabham and Andy Wallace won the 1998 3 Hours of Sebring with a GTR-1. |
