In November 2007 I ordered a Tiguan with Automatic and the diesel engine plus some of the nicer options, like panoramic roof and automatic parking. The salesman was very enthusiastic and accomodating and even promised a replacement car if VW were unable to deliver in a reasonable 4-5 months. However, VW have not been able to confirm when they will build the car and delivery may extend well into 2009. Indeed there appears to a communication blackout from HQ and all advertising in Switzerland has been stopped - does anyone have any insight as to how the building and delivery of this most desireable car is proceeding - Tuschgi
