no power to sunroof
where might the comfort relay be on a 1994 318is ? and what does it control?
I bought a haynes book and it is a pathetic excuse for a manual and it shows six relays (one of which is comfort) above the left kick panel, well all I see there is one very large one. The reason I'm looking for it is I suspect maybe it runs the sunroof. I am not getting power to my red wire on my sunroof switch or the sunroof fuse. If I jump power to it the sunroof operates correctly. The book shows a "distribution box" and "distribution box b" is that the fuse boxes? Thanks 87esir __________________ |

Re: no power to sunroof
If I jump power to the sunroof fuse the sunroof works fine. Why would I not have power to the fuse? Maybe the comfort relay? I took what I think is the comfort relay out (large black relay at left kick panel with blue writing) and took the top off and resoldered as I read is often a problem and this didn't fix the problem. Is there a way to check the relay. a schematic for doing it?
Also, how much is a sunroof switch. I need a new one because the outer part is broken off. 1994 318is __________________ |
