Nsx 90' to NSX Type S 97' - Revell 1/18

This is an Stock 1/18 Nsx from Revell, just a bad toy, but we are gonna make some changes to make it look much better (better than original at least)

What do we have?

- Chrome wheels instead of white/silver/gun metal (99% have silver wheels but the other two options where also available)
- Acura lights in fenders instead of Honda turn indicator lights.
- Bad quallity paint, full of molded problems
-No details (no calipers or even brake discs, no interior detailing, etc.)

Love in this DieCast is missing.

Let's begin by unassembling it.

Giving some Putty and primer

We'll be using BBS wheels from and Autoart model (a broken 22b....) same wheels as the Type S.

In silver leaf (gun metal was a second option)

Now lt's do some paint job on the engine, painting it with a beautiful red which represents that the engine it's not the C30A 3 liter 5 speed Vtec, turning now into the C32B 3.2 liter 6 speed Vtec. (since 97')

Original

Giving some paint

Giving some more color and mud

Almost finished (need to put some Honda emblems in the middle)

Mud treatment for the chasis (I'm working in another Nsx right now, just giving some details and red paint, but keeping it OEM)

Comparing the chassis

Checking new wheels look and verifying how colour will look

Working some more on the chassis, silver paint followed by orange clear to meet Imola Orange

With tape

Painted

Finished

Compared with the other one

Adapting now the Autoart wheels system to the Revell model (we want the wheels to be functional,)

Done

But to make it look good we will use some epoxy putty and matt black

Before and after

And the calipper painted in soft gold

90'

97'

Door panel with tape

Putty

And new seats (from a Motor Max 02' Nsx NA2)

Painting the engine bay

How it looks depending of the light

Good to see that the motor actually had some detail for you to work with.

Outstanding work with the restore and massive upgrade in quality. Keep it up!
