2010 Eq Trans Fail?? Need advice
I have a 2010 EQ 2.4 FWD with PO717 and PO700 codes. Car goes into limp mode. Towed to dealer and was told need new Trans $4000. They said there were metal shavings in it. I am Sure they didnt take anything apart to determine that! So my question is- Do you think changing the input and output speed sensors would possibly fix it. ? Can anyone tell me EXACTLY where these 2 sensors are?? We have googled, read and googled again and cannot find them! How easy? Hard is it to get to them?? Thanks!

As far as your speed sensor theory, there's a chance that might work, but definitely no guarantee. I'm not sure where those sensors are, but if they're easy enough to access, I guess it's worth a shot before you go shelling out $4000 for a new transmission. You're not alone with Chevy Equinox problems. I've seen a lot of posts about transmission and electrical problems on those... Good luck and try to avoid doing this: trust me, head injuries suck!
