I have thought about this topic five million times a day. Every time I see a picture or even see a nice car I think of the day I will get a Lamborghini. So needless to say it is all planned out.
1. To start with I think the butterflies would start with the actual purchase. Getting in the car to drive to the dealer knowing what you are about to own. Seeing the car for the first time as you realize you have finally acheived something few will. 2. Signing your name to all the papers stating you as the new owner. Then they hand you the KEY! That would be one of the best moments. "Here is your key sir to your new murcialago"! 3.Then the actual walk to get into the car. They probably open the door for you as you slide into the new leather seats. Gripping the steering wheel and scanning the cockpit to get familiar with the car. 4. The single most brain exploding moment has to be the firsat time you ever crank it. I have never heard one in person but to crank a V-12 and rev the gas (after it warms up of course) has to give you a feeling like no other. 5. Pulling out onto the street for the first time to take it home. Tony I bet this probably made you sweat a little as i know I would look both ways fifty times before I even moved an inch! 6. The first wide open road where you can actually flex the engine. :frog: 7. Pulling into the driveway at home, turning off the car and stepping out to admire it. The main part I liked about Tony's post is showing it to your dad must have felt good too. My dad isn't really into cars at all and I have always wanted to show him a Murcialgo. To show your father yours must have been real special. I think if I ever get one I might let my dad drive it home for me. Well that's enough for me for now. Time for my brain to go back to step one. Have a good day guys Matt LaMotte |

JESUS, you are one hillarious guy, keep us laughin'! Tony, I think you're a pretty good man for letting your wife drive your car. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't let my wife drive my Lambo, let alone any of my expensive cars(if I ever get any exotics or a wife for that matter, haha), unless she was a good driver. Anyways, JESUS keep the great comments coming!

I could not agree with you more . . .
Quote . . . from Tony
1 - I pulled out of the delearship with a crowd of people watching. 2 - I drove it home very carefully. 3 - I parked it in the drive out front and stared at it with my wife and father for about an hour. 4 - My step father took it for a drive. 5 - My wife took it for a drive. 6 - I took it for a drive. I came home. 7 - I took it for a drive. I came home. 8 - I took it for a drive. I came home. 9 - I took it for a drive. I came home. 10 - I took it out for a drive to show some friends. 11 - My friends and I stared at it for about an hour. 12 - We took it for some drives. 13 - I went home and practiced pulling into the garage. 14 - Went to bed. 15 - Couldn't sleep 16 - Get out of bed, go into the garage to sit in it. 17 - Go to bed. 18 - Cant sleep. 19 - Sleep finally! This is absolutely awsome, I know people have said this or something similar before, but here is my 2cents. What make this board so addictive is people like Tony and TXGreenLambo. I mean really, I can go over to the BMW, MB, or even Ferrari board and talked to people who own these cars. But on the other hand I can always find someone in my hometown who also has one. Not so with the Lambo, as we all know finding a Lambo is hard and finding an owner who wants to talk to you is even harder. Thanks, Everyone |

Since I can't seem to part with my newly bought lambo. I'll proabably get a 1:18 scale model that looks like it and keep with me always to ease the pain j/k

we can really feel with you tony. i would do many things like you. but if i buy one the next years i´ll fetch it directly from lamborghini factory with a good friend of me. i already promised him to go there untill 12.10.2007 (at this day we met and made that decision) it must be a very emotional moment to fetch your car from your dealer or from the lamborghini factory in santa agata. it´s about a 5 hour drive from me. i cannot wait for that moment. i don´t know how i would sleep the nights before and after that .. let´s call it EVENT |

Thanks for all the praise. I don't deserve it. Still, it's nice to be appreciated. I have confidence many of you will achieve your goal of owning one one day. BTW Cabbie, this thread will be difficult to top. -Tony |

Pretty much amazing

You actually wrote one big $300,000+ check? That would be emotional. I've just been thinking about this whole idea lately though, I don't even think I could imagine having a nice car like a Murcielago, I could picture the first few days but after that I just couldn't see myself waking up to one in the garage everday.
