smart people help me please :)

ok, I'm looking at a 90 GTU with a TII swap... the guy didn't put in a TII tranny or rear end though... although it has an ACT street/strip clutch... I figure the rear end will be ok but will the tranny hold up very long even with the upgraded clutch? oh and its using the NA flywheel as well... tell me what you all think...

Re: smart people help me please :)

is there a price ?
its all about the price.
a T2 tranny and rear end would cost you 600$ max.. plus you have the lightest S5 made.

Re: smart people help me please :)

3k firm is his price... interior is pretty good but the paint is chipping majorly... oh it has a full exhaust, walbro 255 fuel pump, and an apexi blow off valve... I don't know mileage on anything though so that may be a big factor...

oh and how hard would it be to put in power windows? I hate leaning over to roll the windows down... or up if it starts raining...

Re: smart people help me please :)

Some guy on rx7club was selling a power window kit a few weeks ago; search for it and see if he still sells it.

Otherwise it looks good.

I'd rather have the manual windows myself.

Re: smart people help me please :)

yea and he keeps coming back saying it doesn't have this or that... now he says its a stock clutch not an ACT

sounds too sketchy to me... its outta the question unless he drops the price to like 2500

yeah yeah...i talked to him and it looks like theres no way its going lower than 3. and same with me, i just cant even afford it if it wont drop even just a little. and the transmission, and ECU too i guess, (clutch even?) things would probably have come back and bit me in the ass anyway.
