Hi there everyone,
I have a starting problem with my Vauxhall Corsa 1.5 TD, a friend of mine replaced the glow plugs a few months back but this hasn't solved the problem. I posted in another forum, and someone suggested valve clearances could be to blame, and the symptoms do seem to suggest this. Anyway, I took the car into the garage for new brake pads/discs today, and mentioned the starting problem. The garage have told me that they'll need the car to be booked in for two days for them to strip down the parts to see what's necessary and which parts they'll need - I'm just wondering if this is necessary? Could I get the job done more quickly elsewhere? Cheers for any advice or suggestions you can offer me.
