Re: Error Code P0573??

The code P0573 is Brake Switch 1 Stuck off. Its possible you just have a brake switch issue. You can measure voltage at pin 3, a Pink and Grey wire, at the brake switch and make sure that you atleast have voltage going to your switch. When you check the voltage to Pin 3 have the switch in the Run position. Pin 3 is the ignition voltage fed wire. Pin 1, a Red wire, i Believe is battery feed so there should be voltage there all the time. The connector is numbered 1-6 pins. 1 being on the right if you are looking directly at the front of the connector with the clip at the top. Pin 5 is the ground. A Black/Violet wire. you can make sure you have a good ground. The other two wires Pin 4 and Pin 6 goes back to the PCM for signal reference. Id check your powers and ground and if that all checkes good my first guess would be a brake switch. You might check and see if you brake lights are working too. Could get you a ticket if you are not careful
