Question 2004 Frontier 4 cylinder

I'm looking at a 2004 Frontier automatic 4 cyclinder. What's everyone's opinion on the 2.4 L Fontier engine? I rarely haul anything and if I do, it's going to be light weight. I'll use the truck mainly for transporation/commuting. Thanks!!

if you know how to drive one and are going w/ the 4banger than I would say do yourself a favor and buy the 5spd. better gas mileage and the truck won't feel quite so sluggish. The only advantage of getting the v6 2wd other than more power for hauling, is you get the dessert runner package which raises the truck off the ground with larger tires and looks better.

later,
