94 Cutlass Ciera Radio install help
Am looking to put an aftermarket CD player in the car. I am looking for any suggestions, links or technical advice...
How tough is it to remove the factory radio?? Are wiring harness adapters and mounting hardware adapters required? Are the adapters easy to find? Anything would be helpful, I've done many Fords and they are easy to do, I've never done any radio install/removal work on an OLDS. Appreciate it!!! |

I'd also like to know how to remove the stock radio. Any suggestions?

They should remove just like any other GM. Find the screws that hold the plastic dash surround on.. Remove them and pull the surround off.. There might be some clips holding it on as well, so firmly, but gently, pull the surround out. Then there should be 4 screws holding the radio in.. remove them and pull the radio out. Disconnect the harness and antenna.
To install a new aftermarket radio, you'll need a mounting kit, wiring harness adapter, and an antenna plug to fit the stock plug into the smaller aftermarket plug. Put everything back in simple reverse order.
