Re: Hasegawa 1/24 BMW 2002tii
According to Hasegawa's flyer, it will be the early model, with late type mirrors included.

Re: Hasegawa 1/24 BMW 2002tii
OMFG-
Just when I am confident that no manufacturer can release a new kit that I could bother to care about. And there is good reason to hope that this will be a really good 2002. Almost definitely won't have an engine, but otherwise all of Hasegawa's recent 'historical' kits have been fantastic. Seriously looking forward to it.

Really good news! But I would prefer BMW E9 instead.

Wish it was a 3.0 CS instead...The 2002 is so boxy.

Thanks for the info. Got my pre-order in at HLJ. This is the car that started it all for BMW in the US - iconic!

Re: Hasegawa 1/24 BMW 2002tii
If you study the kit close enough, it's easy to see that Hasegawa could easily offer the Turbo as a variant.
The instrument cluster is already there. The divots on the body sides for trim would be covered by flares. The taillight panel can be easily covered w/a new assembly that includes the rectangular lamps. The shorter rear bumper is already on the chrome tree. Separate chrome headlight buckets are already on the chrome tree (the grille pieces themselves would be black, so on separate black tree). I'm convinced the Turbo is one of the future variants of this kit. I really wish the aftermarket would offer much better interior side panels.
