Need S60 Pro Advice please - Frt Noise

2007 S60 T5,96k miles.

Front end noises, worse when cold the reduce or disapear within a few miles. Mostly observed when going over bumps. Steering is tight and tire wear uniform. Have had it on jacks, everything feels pretty tight except the CV joints appear looser than I might expect, but the noise isn't steer/turn or speed sensitive.......more tied to bumps in the road.

Have looked at all the engine mounts......all look fine except possibley the top one at the cross par is loose I think.

It feels like the struts.......do the make noise when worn ??

Other suggestings?
All support appreciated.
