2000 monte carlo fuel sending sensor
how to change fuel sending sensor in gas tank, easy or hard ?

this is very easy to replace just fold your back seats down and pull up the carpet just behind the back seats in the trunk there is a velcro spit in the carpet after you pull back the carpet you will se a access panel in the trunk floor remove the nuts off the door and use a screwdriver to pry the panel open and wala there is your fuel pump just unlach the electical connections then undo the 3 fuel lines then tap the retaining ring to the left and remove the old pump then replace and reverse the steps . i had to do this yesterday and it was very easy just make sure you use a hammer ans punch to reset the retaining ring
oh do not hook up power connections before you replace the fuel lines if you do you will be soaked with fuel lol. Last edited by catfishjr241; 07-23-2010 at 04:20 AM. |
