02' Monte Carlo Electrical Problems?
Hey guys, I have an 02' 3.4L Monte Carlo.
I had to replace the motor in it recently. Now that everythings hooked up and all that, when I try to start the car I have power until I try to turn it over. Then I lose everything until I let off the switch. Also the running lights constantly stay on even though there is no key in the ignition. I know the battery is good as I have just replaced, I know the terminals are fine I have double checked them. Only thing I can think of is when ever I was hooking up the starter, I forgot which wires went to which side, I have 4. 1. Hot wire 2. Ground wire. 3. Key switch wire 4. another set of wires that go to the hot, I think they relay the "hot" connection to the rest of the electrical system. Any help would be appreciated. |

Welcome to AF, decent wiring diagrams are at autozone.com, repair guides, register and then go to chassis electrical for the diagrams.
