635 brake problem
While i was driving the a few nights ago, i hit the brakes quickly and applied pressure, but the pedal only went down slightly, and then after a second fully engaged the brake like normal. Any ideas to what may be going on here?

brake problems
Hey there! The brake is supported by a hydraulic system. Also the powersteering is in the line. Maybe the brake support cylinder is not good anymore. Maybe try new bearings.

Check the simple stuff first.
I recommend checking the fluid levels first. If the levels are low, then you may have air in the brake lines. If the levels are OK, you still may have air in the lines. If the fluid is over a year old it can absorb water. The water causes the fluid to boil at a much lower temp (212 deg F) than the 450+ F recommended. In short, try bleeding the lines with new DOT 4 fluid. |
