5mm or less space around windshield in pre-1989 auto?

Does anyone have a service manual or any kind of documentation showing a 5mm or less spacing around the perimeter of the windshield in a pre-1989 automobile? This is the spacing between the windshield and the windshield frame. Usually there is a lip and an adhesive bead to help center and align the windshield.

I realize this is a strange request. There are millions of dollars riding on me finding this.

In the alternative, if I can find a pre-1998 example of this, that's not a homerun like a pre-1989, but it's still a huge help.
