I wasn't 100% if it could be done as easily on the 99+ G20 as it was to do in the 98+ 200sx. However after talking to Ben at JWT he got the confirmation for me.
I still don't like the fact that I'll have to cut up my harness. It just introduces another point of failure. But I probably won't have a choice. Like one of the members on the main SE-R list says, "Do you want to go fast, or do you want to suck?" |

JWT has been giving some help on this...apparently, ONLY the 99 G20 wiring harness can be plug on to the 95-97 SER ecu, meaning that as of right now, if you want to turbo and get the right program, only the 99 G20 can benefit from both.
I am waiting for JWT to fax me the entire instructions on what exactly needs to be modded to make our harness work on the ecu, but from what i heard from them, it's very simple.

BTW, I wrote a long response to your PM and my web mail ate it! I ran out of time to rewrite it yesterday. I'll send you a new response tonight. I'm not blowing you off.

I've had stuff like that happen to me tons of times when posting on the forum here. I'll mean to hit "shift+a" for a capitol A and I'll accidentally hit "control+a" which selects all the text... and then as soon as you hit the next key... BAM!!! the whole post is gone!! |

The GTi-R engine uses mechanical lash adjsutment, but it still uses rockers, which is also quite different from what you are thinking about.

When I read the unstable hybrid list, they said the RWD DET has shim in bucket, I know this is true for the KA. I thought that the SR's shared the same valvetrain but I wanted to double check before I run off at the mouth sometime in the future. Thanks again.
