Post Information on Aluminum Framed Lower Intake Manifold Gaskets for SII 3800

There are two GM part numbers for the newer aluminum framed intake manifold gaskets. One for pinned and unpinned.

Pinned - 89017816
Unpinned - 89017817

The difference is the pinned end seals have rubber tits that insert into small holes in the block. Which one you will need can be determined by a visual inspection, of course after the UIM and LIM are removed.

Pic below shows what is included in the gasket kit.

Applicability: All '97 - '03 Pontiac Grand Prix with Series II 3800 engine
