Once the insight's are used and cheap, who's modding one?
I know for that after 5 years, they price of them will go down and there will be plenty of used ones around. Who here is likely to buy one, put a k20/24 or b16/18 in there and have fun?

i think even a built d series with a turbo would make one incredibly fast... they only weigh like 1800 pounds... would have to custom make mounts though

Brilliant
this is the best idea ever, if the car wieghs 1800lbs. then close to 4-5 hundred of that had to be in the motor and batter backs!!! so with a k20 and tranny only wieghing maybe 300lbs it would wiegh even less. NOT ONLY THAT BUT, the car was designed to be super areo dynamic so top end should be insain if people really get into it then i am sure they will come out with mounting kits and wiring kits, this will be the hottest swap since k20 into an EK!!!

i hope someone figures out how to get rid of those rear side things soon! I'd love to get an insight, do some body work on it, get a nice system in there (you see how much trunk space there is? Plenty for a few 12's!) It'd be a nice economic 2 seater

gut it, a built b series and all new wire harness... wouldnt be pretty but if you could get the whole donor car and just use it's wire harness you could make an SI insight that would be fast as hell..
