Mustang or Firebird or Camaro
post me on which is the best in performance, value and overall. I'm trying to decide which to purchase, I'm looking into the Mustangs,Camaros, and Firebirds from the 60's.

Re: Mustang or Firebird or Camaro
What kind of performance are you looking for? Straight line? Turns? Combination of the two?

Re: Mustang or Firebird or Camaro
well, i voted mustang becuase i do like the ways the mustangs looked right up until around the 70's. I like the now from the Fox body up. But I would also have to consider a camero from the 60's, especially a 69' model. I think mustangs looks really styling, but those cameros just look plain mean. Put some bigger tires on teh back then the front, that things looks seriously mean. But it is really what you want. I am sure you can get serious performance out of any of the cars you mentioned above.

Re: Mustang or Firebird or Camaro
In a vehicle I'm looking for straight line, a good car to go all out on for the Drag Strip.

i voted camaro...simply because you could put a 572BB in it. , and the chevy aftermarket for those years is neverending.

Re: Mustang or Firebird or Camaro
i would opt for a yenko camaro any day before a firebird or mustang, but that is old cars. i like the firebirds of 90's better, but since you are after older cars, get the yenko (or i guess you can settle for a ss).

Re: Mustang or Firebird or Camaro
Well I'm pretty sure I'm not getting a Firebird unless I can find a dirt cheap one, I'd rather get a Camaro or Mustang, beacuse the parts for these two are easier to find then the Firebird.

Re: Mustang or Firebird or Camaro
Mustang for me. I liked the way the '67 Mustang Shelby looked liked. I think its the GT500 if I'm not mistaken.
