Hey I have a 04 neon and I want to increase its performance

Im 17 years old and will be 18 in a few days I just got this black 2004 dodge neon automatic (sxt ? I think i dont know).


But can you guys tell me where to start (Oh yea I work at a factory so I make about $460 a week.)

There is no "chip" for the neon and if you are suggesting turbo, why would he need an intake?

curtis_boy, unfortunately you have what is called the NGC PCM (Next Generation Computer) on your neon. It pretty much keeps the engine from benefiting (to their full capacity) from small mods such as an intake, exhaust and so on. This doesn't mean you can't mod, but just keep it in mind.

That is for the turbo neon called the SRT-4. That is not what you would buy. You need to purchase one for the Non-turbo neon.

I also seen somewherethat you need a AEM Cold air intake with bypass valve n r/t sport exhaust is that what that is dude ( sorry about all my questions for my first mod)

also is a K&N Cold air intake better?

The bypass valve is in case the intake sucks up water, it won't let it into the engine basically. Not a huge concern.

No, the AEM is the best one for the 2nd gen neon.

The pacesetter header is a great addition for the SOHC engine (what you have), but it isn't a simple install. It can be done by yourself, but you may need to set a weekend aside to do it.

Don't worry about the rest of the exhaust as it is fine. If you want to go for looks, try and find a used 2nd gen R/T or ACR muffler. It has the dual tips and looks nice. Simple bolt on for 2nd gen neons.
