84 Sunbird Leak when hot

Hi-

My 84 1.8 turbo leaks profusely from the oil pan/block/pump joint when it gets to 180. It does not leak if the temp is below that. I run 20w50 oil.

I have done the pan gasket 4 times and that does not appear to be it. I recently replaced the oil pressure sending unit and the pressure is normal. Sending unit is dry.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Paul

Re: 84 Sunbird Leak when hot

It was the Oil Pump. Once it heated up, the seals let go.
