is there any svo web site's out there?

this one guy i talked to said that's there's a web site out there for the svo's that you can run the vin number and get the specs for that car bacause that's what he did with his white svo and found out that his was one of 500 made. the only problem is that the address he gave me was dead...soooo is there a site that does that? and is there any other svo sites out there?? he also said that if mine is originally dark blue than it's like one of seven made.

just a manual boost adjuster, it's running straight off the turbo for exhuast. the old exhuast was tak welded and fell off. i'm about to put in a new engine that has 600 miles on it. it's bored 20 over it's anow a 2.38 or almost a 2.4. and it has high comp. pistons(is that good or bad for a turbo engine??? i was always told it wasn't very good cuase it defeats the porpose of forced induction). and it has a new turbo. it's outa a 88 merkur and i'm getting whole box full of stuff with it to including a front mount intercooler. and i'm getting a set of polished svo rims with tire (225F/245R) for 200 bucks. but i stillneed to get the rear axle fixed.

That seems like a pretty good setup. I would not get the higher compression, stay around 8-8.5:1. The lower compression will help keep detonation away and allow higher boost levels safely. How high are you thinking off going?

i was told by one of my friends who used to have a 300 whp svo that they can handle 18psi stock. but yesterday at work my svo started throwing a boost light right around 4250rpm in 3rd on 14psi and it's having alot of trouble boosting and it's back firing like you wouldn't believe. and it's missing alot at idle. it also runs like complete shit on 9psi but that's because i reset the ecu and i forgot to take the boost down when i went to work a couple of days ago.

here lately i've been thinking of selling the svo and getting a 85-93 5.0L mustang. i can get a sweet 5.1L 306ci tuned engine that's putting out like 450-550hp at the crank for real cheap. that and my friend drives a 86 with a 306ci w/ gt40 heads and that thing pulls like a mofo.

Re: is there any svo web site's out there?

The light just comes on above around 14-15psi. It doesn't affect how the car runs. Mine put down 304hp to the ground and I was running 20psi and nitrous. The motors are real strong and can handle pretty much whatever boost you want to through at it as long as the tune is good.
Do a tuneup on the car if it hasn't been done in a while using motorcraft parts and copper plugs. That may be your problem with the way it is running
