Suspension upgrades, tell me what you think?
All right guys, as I'm waiting for my tax return, I trying to decide what I want to do for suspension upgrades. I've narrowed it down to this. Feed back would be great on any of these products mentioned. Personal experiences, pros, cons, etc etc. Just looking to see what you guys think.
Lakewood 70/30 struts, 50/50 shocks Eibach drag launch springs SSM or Lakewood lift bars subframes and re-enforced torque boxes As for tires I'm not sure if I want to get Drag radials for my 16" rims, or go all out and get some Weld wheels with slicks and skinnys to put on when I go to the track. What would you guys suggest for tires? The drag radials would be a lot cheaper, but will they hook like I want them to with the suspension I'm going with? Thanks in advance, Craig

I just took all that stuff off my stang. If you want 1/4 mile suspension, its not bad. Drivabilty is all right, and it should hook, just make sure you weld up those boxes.
I am not into 1/4s any more, so I went with a road course suspension.

If you still want a dealable daily road car ditch the struts your thinking. I'd go with Koni 5-ways and when u get to the track full hard in the back, full soft in the front.
The eibach drag springs are great for track and road. SSM are great lift bars, little stiff on the road but more than liveable. Sub-frame connectors are great no matter who's you get but I do love the look of Kenny Brown's complete matrix set. Battle Boxes are a nice easy way to fix those torque boxes. I'd go with the drag radials you be fine for a while. I have had all these things on my 83' Mustang except the battle boxes that is my expirence with these products

I had thought about the Koni or Tokico 5 ways, but they are kinda expensive. That's why I thought I would go with the Lakewoods. Is the ride of the Lakewoods on the street really that bad?

If you still plan on driving on the street on twisty type roads with speed it's just plain dangerous IMO. If on the street drive like your mother it's just annnoying but safe. I know that koni are more expensive and won't give u as good of et's. But there better for a track/road car.

I totaly agree with GTStang. You pay for what you get. I have Koni Yellows and love them. Yes, I spent a little more money, but every time I take a corner I have a warm fuzzy feeling of security knowing that those struts and shocks are much better suited for the road.
