Arrow Help with clutch please.

Okay, so you guys know i wrecked my bike on the on ramp to the interstate. I already repaired the cowl for the cracks and breaks, and its sitting in the shop drying, waiting for clear coat. I have all the parts i need and can repair everything else except for replacing the clutch handle. I got it off okay, but i can't seem to get it back on, if i leave that little collar bolt thing off then i can get the handle on with the cable still in it, but there doesn't seem to be enough room for the handle on one side and the clutch cable locknut on the other, somone help me out? i need to get this thing runnin again or its gonna rust itself to death (i'm in florida and the humidity is killin the rotors and chain....). THanks gurus.
