Re: May 2017 Mclaren Owners Club Tour

The Impossible Dream.

Finally back home and have had time to think all week a bit more relaxing feelings. It was Huge Honour - privilege to be there all week with these uniq cars. To meet People behind these cars, to meet Legends and of course to meet F1 fans and Mr.McLaren F1 - Peloton25 there. Huge HUGE Honour.

What else...unforgettable week behind me and my lucky friend, who drove from Finland to South France. We got onboard with Simon's #007 right in the Tuesday Morning and second time with #046 on Thursday.
What can I say?

Dreamed to hear That Engine behind my back 25 years, dreamed to experience Magic of F1, Dreamed to follow F1's and GTRs behind, dreamed to see these cars in their natural environment - On The Road.
And really, I know you guys don't believe me, but I cried during following #048 and later #02R those South France's roads. The sight is just so uniq.

Right now I don't know how to thank McLaren F1 Owners Club to giving me that change to be there all week, enjoy the Passion what these cars means to me. More than Life and Words.
Thank You So Much.!

During the week I took over 6000 images, videos of #007 and #046 which you already can find some of them from my IG or Facebook.
I'm Super Gratefull to these owners to let us onboard and get an experience which I will never forget.

Brilliant week. Absolutely stunning week.
McLaren F1 - There is Nothing Like It and Never Will Be.
FULL 10000000% Love to these cars. !

Very impatient to see your pics and the chassis numbers which were present (both F1 and P1).

They were only static displayed there. Both were full racespecs and slicks.
Really nice to see these a bit closer look!

Re: May 2017 Mclaren Owners Club Tour

On the mclarenf1ownersclub.com website, we can read "of the 106 cars that were made only 103 remain". Considering that XP1, XP2 and 017 have been destroyed, can we conclude that 004, 010 and 033 are still around ??

Re: May 2017 Mclaren Owners Club Tour

I suspect that it is referring to the production run of cars not the XP variants as I am sure a few of the production cars have been destroyed granted a very small number.

106 includes all the prototypes.

exactly, so "103 remain" means that only one production car is destroyed.

I stand corrected thank you, for some reason I was surer at least two production cars were gone?

Re: May 2017 Mclaren Owners Club Tour

I don't really keep track of the all the cars anymore, but they've gotten to point in price that it's a smart investment to "rebuild" one from a VIN plate like vintage Ferraris. Other than XP1 and 2, I think any customer car could "resurface" if they throw enough money at it down the line lol. There have been so many advances in technology that it won't be that hard to rebuild parts cheaper than their old fabrication method.
