display case, single car
Is there much difference in the cases available? I see prices vary widely. The only cases I've bought had the top snap into the base & it was difficult to get apart. I'd like to avoid that problem. I need a quality case but don't want to pay if the quality is the same as a cheapo...

Re: display case, single car
I really like this one
It's from Ikea, it's called Synas and costs 35 usd in the US. Four sides snaps together with the bottom (that holds led lighting) and there is a top lid that seems dust sealed although not snaplocked to the other parts. Size is 240 mm * 240 mm.

Take a look at Schuco cases.
I bought them at Nimpex years ago. Costed mor or less 10€ each one. |

Re: display case, single car
I bought one of the AMT display cases. The bottom is plastic chrome simulated diamond plated and the top cover is one piece clear acrylic. The top fits on nicely, but lifts off without issue, it does not snap in place. You would have to tape or glue the top down if you wanted it to stay together tightly. I like it

Re: display case, single car
I like Trumpeter case #09813 which has very nice clear plastic and it's wide enough so wide 1/24 scale cars will fit without rubbing the side mirrors....and it will even hold most 1/20 scale F1 cars.

Re: display case, single car
Thanks for the input! Helps a lot. I'm giving a couple models away & need decent cases. One I need a nice case for, so that IKEA one would be great!
