Fuel Filter
I thinking of replacing my fuel filter. Is there anything I need to watch out for besides gas coming out of the hoses??? Do I need to turn off anything???
Thanks |

The answer to both questions is no. In order to minimize fuel leakage, you may pinch off one of the fuel hose with a pair of vise grips. If you would like, you could pull the fuel pump fuse and let the truck run until it dies; then install filter and reinstall fuse. This would allow you almost no fuel loss, but is not necessary. Otherwise, there is nothing to turn off. If you have any questions feel free to e-mail me at Ray Brandt Answer Guys

fuel filter
NEVER EVER pinch a fuel line with anything.
The proper way to change a fuel filter is to take out the pump fuse. Run enginge until it stalls then remove the gas cap. Then you must remove the negative terminal. |
