The new BMW M6 is here!

Here is the BMW press release on the new M6: "Hot on the heels of the new M5, and taking lightweight design solutions from the M3 CSL, the new M6 combines supercar presence with Grand Touring potential. Joining an exclusive club, the fourth new M car of the decade sets a new performance benchmark for a production car. The beauty of the M6 is also its ability to comfortably crush miles on a cross-country cruise. ..."

More BMW M6 specifications and images are here and here.

I think M6 is just something else. I mean, 507 bhp in a gorgeous BMW sports coupe. What else could you wish for?

And I actually like the new Bangle styling. It's something different, in a good way.

Yea I agree bangle got this one right. Except I wish the front was a little more aggressive. I think it needs either I lower front lip or make the head lights like the BMW in DinanM3_S2 signature.

When the old shape 6 series came out, I liked it a lot. Enough even to buy one. Then, when the M635CSi was launched, I fell in love.

The same has happened this time too. I for one love the styling on the 630Ci/645Ci...

...But this is love!

I WANT ONE ON MY DRIVE NOW!!!

Lol, is there a single $80,000+ car that gets good fuel economy? When you can afford that expensive of a car, you can usually pay for the gas...

Oh plenty: Cars with better fuel economy with even bigger engines, heavier bodies, and are $80,000+

The M6's fuel economy was somewhere around 8/14 MPG. Now that's bad. Even the 760Li, a V12 gets around 15/22 MPG.

That is a great looking car. But I agree with RACER D12, it needs to look a little more agressive. But it is a car that makes a statment wherever you go, even at a Ferrari convention.

That pic of the 6 with the trunk open really makes it have the profile of a 911. But the rear is too busy. The new M5 has a much cleaner tail.

Re: The new BMW M6 is here!

Here are some more pics of the new m6.

A friend of mine works at a bmw dealership.
He allready drove the m6 and the m5..

After he drove the m5, he said he was really frightend to drove the m6 by pushing the "Power" button
He said, in "Normal mode" both cars are really awesome, but in the "Race mode"... it doesn't matter how fast you are.. when you acclerate and put the pedal to the metal, it is like someone kick you in the back.
Unfortunatly the fun it is over by 250km/h...and it feels like you drive towards a wall..
