did i wreck something???? help!

ok, had i fun day out 4 wheelin today......

was trying to bomb up a huge sand dune when i got stuck at the very top.........

i then proceeded to rev the engine up high, and slowly pop the clutch, there was no grab, no tires spinning, and smoke smelling like burning rubber come out from the hood.........

i dug myself out and backed down the dune (OMG scary shit!) and survived that.....

the truck seems fine now (4wd/2wd/locker) all work ok....

what was the smoke? should i get something looked at???

help!

That was your clutch buddy!!

Your clutch disk was making all that smoke. It definately took some life out of your clutch but otherwise you would notice no changes. If you plan to continue using your truck like this, at the point you install a new clutch, add a heavier flywheel and a clutch with greater clamping force/friction capability like Centerforce's Dual Friction. I have had great success with this setup.
