Front-end sight clearance and hood ornaments

Just bought a like-new real low miles 2017 Toyota RAV4 and the thing that bothers my wife is the fact that, as on many of the newer vehicles, the hood slopes downward and out of view.
This bothers my wife because her complaint is she cannot see any hood out the windshield giving her the feeling that the front of the car ends at the windshield making it difficult for her to judge how close she is to objects in front of her when pulling into parking spaces or parking behind other vehicles.
I told her in time she will just get used to it and she says "yes...but after how many times I have to run into something first and damaging our beautiful new car and someone else's.
This made me wonder how many others have had this concern. It used to be most all cars had plenty of hood out front plus a hood ornament to help judge distance, which is rarely seen on many cars today.
Has anyone out there had this concern and did you find any creative ways to help with this issue?
Thanks,
Harkauto
