Chevy SSR

As if I don't already have enough projects going, I started this a few months ago as part of a group build.
So far it appears to be an exceptionally well fitting kit. The only issue I’ve come across is a weak fit for the rear sway bar, (that is probably only noticeable because of how well everything else fit.) Even the ejection pin locations are well placed and most are not visible after full assembly.

Re: Chevy SSR

The body has been painted too. The base color paints are all Tamiya TS. Mica Red for the top, Pearl White fading through Gloss Aluminum, Light Gunmetal and Gunmetal Gray; all rattle canned. The flame accent border is made up of decals from a sheet I produced a few years ago.

Re: Chevy SSR

The interior and engine bay are done. The fit of the parts is still good.

I’m guessing my color choice for the wheels will be too bold for many…

Re: Chevy SSR

Wow, the paint on the body looks great. I personally like your wheels; did the bright orange to our 1:1 gunmetal grey MX-5's track wheels! It will certainly standout.

Re: Chevy SSR

I tried to finish the body as much as possible before installing the interior and chassis. The headlights are a little less that a positive fit, but still line up well with just a little patience. The main grille bar fits well with no cement.

Re: Chevy SSR

Looks good. I'm still on the wall with the wheel color.
