Hood latch springs rusted out...
Hi!
Would a 1998 geo metro hood latch with release cable fit a 1995 geo metro? They look identical from what I can see. My hood latch springs rusted away and I need to replace it. Thanks! |

Re: Hood latch springs rusted out...
i fixed my hood latch!
my latch handle broke off inside the cabin so I bought a latch with cable on ebay. you have to snake the new cable over the wheel well from the inside up near fuse box to outside over the wheel through near the headlight. i also had to replace a spring that rusted out on the latch. that part was not so fun. it can be done without removing the entire latch assembly with pliers. but now I am not worried about anyone stealing my spark plugs or wires! hope this helps anyone with hood latch problems! no more using pliers to pull latch release! mr.hand! |
