sub box question
I have heard that using poly speaker stuffing in your sub boxes make them sound better. Is that true?

Re: sub box question
Some people like the different sound it makes, but stuff some in and if you don't like it then you can take it out. Have you seen bass drums in a band that have a pillow or something in it?? It's pretty much the same thing.

Re: sub box question
MDF. My particular box is made of 1" MDF. 1/2" and 3/4" MDF is also a popular thickness. Medium Density Fiberboard or MDF, is a strong, dense material that has very little flex - making it an ideal material for a stiff subwoofer enclosure. It's also fairly inexpensive.

the polyfill stuffing in a box makes the speaker think it's in a larger box, the pillow in a drum is to lower it's volume a little |
