Amp Question
I searched this forum, and found some helpful information, but I need some more specifics on my situation. I have a 90 Accord EX and I just purchased Infinity 6002i 6 1/2's for the front and Infinity 9603i 6X9 for the rears. The installation was a pain, but that's about over now.
I'm now debating on an amp. The front speakers are rated at 2-60 watts RMS and the rears are 2-100 watts RMS. My deck, a Pioneer DEH-P3500, only puts out 22 watts, so I think I'm underpowering my speakers. I was thinking of getting a 40W or 50W X 4 amp to give them a boost. Can someone please advise me if my line of thinking is correct and any specific amp recommendations for around $200? I don't think I'm going to get a sub right now, but if I do, does that make a difference on what amp I get now? I think I need a seperate amp if I get a sub, but I'm not sure. I don't think I need a sub because I'm not that concerned about bass. I just want to listen to loud, clean music. |

give them all the power you can ..... a 4 X 50-75 amp would be great. If you get a sub later, you will definitely need a dedicated amp
