Spent the weekend helping my best friend move his girl. Had some fun conversations driving around in a UHAUL all day.

Steve: Ya know...we don't have a ton of weight over the rear of this thing (we just picked it up, hadn't started to load it yet).
Me: Fuck it, lets drift this bitch.

Steve: Carefull with the apartment gate. It closes way fast. I almost scrapped my car the other day bringing the bed stuff over.
Me: Ramming speed it is then.

Steve: Dude, do you know how many dead bodies we could fit in this thing?

At the storage place where he was keeping some of his stuff:
Steve: So, can zombies survive underwater?
Me: Well, sorta kinda. I mean, they can't breath underwater, but they don't need to breath at all, they don't require air. And all the air pockets in their body would fill up with water, so they would sink to the bottom of the ocean and walk across. It would take longer, but they'd be harder to stop.
Steve: I see. So maybe we should go ahead and rent one of the larger storage units for survival.
Woman at the desk: You boys are fucked up.

Lady at the storage place after taking three shots at driving through the gate and setting her car alarm off whilst inside the car...

After storage place lady told us about a guy who rents a unit at another location, stocked up with crate motors for Corvettes.
Steve: Where does he store these exactly?

Steve explaining to his mom that he his moving most of his sound stuff to his girl's apartment: Don't worry mom, those two new speaker set ups I built are rated to over 100dBs. It'll still be plenty loud.

Explaining to me the newest "speaker" he built (nine foot tall PVC pipe monstrosity):
Steve: Ya know that scene that we liked to watch in There Will Be Blood on the old sound system? With the oil coming out of the ground?
Me: Yeah?
Steve: Well, we will need to build a pipeline becuase I forsee this actually shooting oil out of the top of it.
Me: Fuck Shell, our shit is 98 octane with 17 detergents. Bitches.

On a bed frame we were putting together at about 1am after lifting heavy shit all day
Me: I just came up with a genious idea for a bed frame. A titanium skeleton. Filled with iron. Coated in stainless steel.
Steve: Doesn't that defeat the purpose of everything?
Me: Exactly.

After loading all the sound stuff into my car:
Steve: Dude, all we have in the back of your car is my sound stuff. We have the rear seats folded, and the hatch is still full. I think I have a problem.
Me: Its only a problem if it can't be solved with money. Otherwise, its just another expense.

Looking at my car:
Me: That stuff managed to compress my rear springs. I'm slammed and lowered like a sweet VDub with soul.
Steve: Except its only the back part.
Me: So a backwards VDub.
Steve: Yeah, pretty much. Maybe you should get a bigger car?
Me: Or maybe you should get a bigger car and stop leaching off of my hatch.
Steve: Yeah...that would be the logical answer.
Me: Screw it, lets just steal your mom's G37S.

On his girlfriend not being able to drive his car.
Steve: So, she's mad at me because I want to get the new Genesis coupe, but I plan on getting the six speed. She thinks I'm doing it just so she can't drive it.
Me: Isn't that exactly why you are doing it.
Steve: (long pause) Yeah, pretty much, but its not the point of the story.

After noticing the clear majority of her new neighbors are Indian
Me: You really need to get to be friends with all your new neighbors. I wanna go to some crazy ass Bollywood parties.

At a Sushi dinner place with him, my girl, and his girl
Hostess: And your server will be Ramses. Oh no, I'm sorry
Me: Wait. Wat?
Hostess: Oh nothing.
Me: No, wait, we caught you.
Steve: Yeah, you just said Oh No I'm Sorry like its the end of the world. You didn't mean to say it, but you did say it.
Me: We're screwed aren't we? Whats wrong with Ramses? Is he a terrorist? Will he lace our food with crystal meth? Does he kick babies?
The Girls: Will you two shut up? They are gonna spit in our food.
Me: I thought that was exactly how you make sushi?

On the way home:
My girl: Hun, slow down, you aren't going to race the BMW 5.
Me: I'm not trying to race him, I'm just keeping up with him. At 20 over the limit.

On noticing some guy in a last gen Monte Carlo SS riding our ass hard in the UHAUL:
Me: Watch it Steve, easy on the brakes. We got Cole Trickle back here riding our ass
Him: (Taps the brakes) It ain't rubbing, its racing.

And one final quote from yesterday while we were all at lunch:
My girl: So I really can't convince you that the 330ci is enough? You really have to have the M3?
Me: Yup.
Steve: Its the better choice.
My Girl: What about if we get married and have kids?
Me: Then I'll just get an M5.
