I have a 1985 Isuzu pick up, it idles nice and smoot but no power and I hear a clank, clank every so often from the lower end (I think). I just adjusted the vlaves and tightened the timing chain. When I look down the front of the engine with the valve cover off I can see a bronze oval-shaped cork-screw do-dad that sits at an angle rather than straight just below and in back of the bottom timing gear. In order to move I have to rev the engine quite high. Anybody have any ideas where I might start in determining what my lack of power problem is?
