HSV..................boat?
no, they didnt just turn the commodore upside to see if it floats.
its and actual HSV boat built by Malibu boats these wheels first came out on the HSV Response R8 trailer, i think theyre now on the new Monaro GTO . it also comes with a HSV enhanced LS1 engine producing approximately 275 kW HSV General Manager Chris Payne commented: "Malibu and HSV have been teamed on the project for about 6 months and it is a concept that we have been wanting to have some fun with for a while. Yes, the boat is a trial exercise and after testing reaction as part of a HSV lifestyle display at the Sydney Motor show it will be interesting to see if we get orders for the HSV version of the Response. But we think it is a perfect fit. Traditionally HSV owners are very much into outdoor activities; we know that as well as their obvious affection for motorsport, water sports and family activities feature prominently in their leisure activities. Orders may be taken by Malibu for the HSV - Response R8, but whether we actually go ahead with the production of any in a limited run or whatever will depend on the public reaction. If we get orders for 20 at the Motor Show then we will talk with Malibu and decide our long-term strategy - if people are blown away by the idea then we may just build 20 and individually number them to order." The boat is the water equivalent of the ClubSport - hence its name. |
