Re: Koenigsegg CCR MSRP? and Opinions

the CCR is one of the most earodynamic cars in the world. It already has all the downforce that it needs. If I remember correctly, i heard a quote from the factory saying that it could drive upside down in a tunnel doing over 180MPH.
It already has a wing, its just not a big ricer park bench.
I good car can produce enough down force without a stupid monsterous wing.

BTW: My anus is bleeding!

Yeah that's true, and thinking back the CCR would definitely look worse than with the current design.

Also, has anyone else seen Hertzfeldt's new animation "the meaning of life" (should I open a new thread for this?)

WHAT?!?!?!?!

No they didn't! That is a proprietary design. That isnt anywhere near any ford that i have ever seen.

"These spectacular carbon fibre doors open in a single elegant motion, first freeing themselves from the body, then swinging upwards and finding rest at a 90 degree angle. They are supported by the masterpiece Koenigsegg hinges, which use two parallel arms that rotate on a geared pivot,
causing the doors to move in an outward arc. Since the hinges are balanced by gas struts, a gentle push is enough to lift the doors. This design requires minimal area around and above the vehicle, giving complete freedom of access to the car in confined areas. "

You could have easily gotten the price by contacting the company. that is what i did. The replied saying that the base price for a Koenigsegg CCR is US$457 000. It is currently not street legal in the United States and Canada but should be by year end.
