I found a scratch on my LH fender, how should I remove it?
I just noticed a light scratch on my driver's side fender. Its not very long, maybe a few inches (also has a curve to it). It doesn't look deep it all. Its just a surface scratch. I tried some 3M Perfect It-II rubbing compouns, but no luck. IS there a way I can simply remove it myself? I don't want to use any of that "as seen on tv" crap because I know it doesn't work good. Is there a clear coat safe buffing compound I can buy somewhere? Thanks

If it's just a light surface scratch...
and I know you don't wanna try the 'as seen' on TV stuff, but.... I've had good luck with GS-27. I've used it on my 99 GT (Dark green), as well as on my wife's MPV (light gold). Just be sure to follow the instructions. If it's deeper than anticipated - some of the color sticks, (they're like crayons), work well. Good luck. |
