should i put beat in my car?

i was wondering... will putting 2 10's, an amp, and a box weigh down my car too much? i really wanna put slap in my s13 coupe when i get it, but i don't want my setup to hinder my ability to drift. i went to circuit city and they said im looking at about 50-60 lbs in my trunk.

Re: should i put beat in my car?

well i don't really believe you.. but if you're gonna put a system in then you might as well learn how to drift with it IN than OUT.. 50 or 60 lbs won't make much of a difference if you're just learning.. just make sure you don't change the weight very much cause that can throw you off.. but then again i don't believe much from you, especially cause you went to circuit city.. which model do you have? and if you have a drift setup already (before deciding on an audio system) then what have you got??

Re: should i put beat in my car?

If you remove back seat + sparetire + jack then put in the box, etc. you will end up at close to the same weight. Only difference would be more weight directly over the rear tires.

If I wanted beat, I would just put one woofer in. I don't want to be deaf 10 years from now.

Re: should i put beat in my car?

loud rap ricer music with 2 10" subs is retarded....you want to have that and then also spend money on drifting?? when you wreck it your first time drifting some of that stuff is probably gonna get messed up, waste of money if your going to be always drifting....but like d-bo said, i dont believe you...

same with me, if i wanted to have some sound i would put just regular speakers in the car. i find that bass is awesome, but after a month or two it gets old. its your decision, but remember....would you rather drift or have plain audio everyone finds to be regular, but drifting everyone finds to be unique in its own way.

Re: should i put beat in my car?

LOL, LOL, LOL. HAHHAAHHHAHAHAH.(I laugh)

To tell you the truth im probably not going to be into drifting or dragging entirely. I just want a nice ride, Good sound system( is said good sounding not loud, bass taking over bumping) nice look as in rims and tires body kit, nice paint job. Quick(not blow yur head off fast but quick) Enough power to blow away any civic 3kgt etc knocking on the door at a red. And handling. I respect and give props to all who give it there all into like drifting and dragging but thats just not for me ahhaa but i still love it

Re: should i put beat in my car?

I have a 50watt per speaker 130$ Pionner head unit and stock speakers in my 1991 Topaz and it sounds good enough, why would anyone spend all kinds of money of shit like that? (All I would do if I had tons of money is get good speakers and an amp, but nothing more.)

Re: should i put beat in my car?

Yeah, see, my engine doesn't rev, it just hums, if I step on the gas, it just hums louder, I don't go any faster, it just makes noise.

Re: should i put beat in my car?

Yeah, well if I have spare money (I'll have saved money on my all primer paint job) then I'll put in a good head unit, good speakers and maybe an amp, just so we can cruise downtown with the windows down like i did the other day in the topaz, i was driving down St-Catherine (the main street in downtown montreal) and Crescent (the singles bar street) with the windows down, the strereo blasting this corny romanian song by O-Zone, i was with my friend and it was like 3 am and -10 outside, so funny.
