Ford FD-100 Foose Custom

Here's my new project:

The new tooled Revell kit from the Foose series:

The original wheels are not really bad, but I had a nice set from Scale Production laying around which suits much better I think.

I started on the body. First I removed a few moldlines. After that I sanded the body and primered it. Next step was paint. I thought Scania Black Amber should be a nice color for this car. And it is! Especially after the 2K clearcoat.

The resin wheelcenters were painted Pale Gold:

And I made a start on the interior:

Re: Ford FD-100 Foose Custom

New update! The engine is completed. I added sparkplug wiring and a new distributor.

After that, I mounted the engine on the painted frame and added all other parts to complete the chassis.

I also started on the interior last time. Now it was time to assemble all parts. I added flocking on the floorpanel.

The thrunkbed needed real wood instead of the fake decal. So I cutted a few sticks from Mc Donald in the right size and added a brown wash on them. I sanded it and clearcoated it after. The metal strips are styreen with BMF on top of them.

Re: Ford FD-100 Foose Custom

And it's finished:

I had so much fun building this pretty simple kit. The fitment was good, except for the interior in the body. But probably it was my own fault, cause a few others didn't had this problem....
I really recommended this kit to everyone!

Here's a short list of extra's I used:

-21'' Foose Nitrous Scale Production (rear)
-19'' Foose Nitrous Scale Production (front)
- real wood for the bed
- detail master ignition set
- Chevrolet steeringwheel
- Aluminium exhausttips
