Cars you've owned Pt2
I was going through some old threads and came across Replicants thread about cars you've owned- Unfortunatley Moppie started getting a little harsh on other peoples rides, Mr T closed it- I (and numerous others) never got a word in.....So I have decided to restart the thread, hopefully this time without ANY flames........
Here goes........... --In Wellington-- 1989 Mazda 323 1.3 5spd- bought as 1st car, YUCK bloody awful, crashed it 1988 Yugo 45 Handihatch- bought by my dad after I crashed Mazda, reliable, but never liked it- Suprisingly quick as well 1993 Renault 19 Monaco- My first good car, inspiring to drive, quick, I trashed the life out of it 1990 Audi 80 2.6E- My first Luxury car- Awesome ride. 1994 Toyota Corolla FX-GT- replacement for the Audi- gh3y- offered it to Moss last year, he rejected it- bought it to Chch --Moved to Christchurch--(1995) 1994 Ford Falcon XR8- V8 MATE!!!! LOL........my main daily driver for 4 years.....until a CRX lost control and slammed into it...... 1995 Honda Prelude EXi- Weak car, used as a sporty car- shouldn't have bought it- I modded it lightly- but in the end the looks were the only things it had going for it- sold it before moving to Napier 1996 Renault Laguna 2.0- Company car- used as daily driver before the Pug- Sold when I got the Pug 1996 Hyundai Coupe FX- A looker, my fun car, defeated the purpose of the Prelude, awesome driving experience- Sold when I moved to Napier 1971 BMW 2002 tii Turbo Race Car *Hint note the tii Turbo, didn't leave the factory with a snail*- Used in the Targa- but after 2000 I turned it back to a road car- I still own it- I will be shipping it over next year 1998 Ford Mondeo ST-24- When my XR8 was hit- I needed a new performance Ford, only I felt that this 2.5 V6 Mondeo was all I needed- as opposed to an EL XR6 or 8- RAcked up heaps of K's 1967 Ford Mustang V8 Conv. Bought as a summer car in 2000, but became worn out and too costly for me to repair when my job ended - I hope the owner has restored it nicely 1999 Ford Courier XLT Diesel- needed it to move around furniture and stuff.... 2001 Peugeot 6O7 V6 SE- Everyone knows about this one- back when I was down to my BMW, Mustang and Courier (When I moved to Napier)- I used it 90% of the time- but I realised I wasn't coming back to NZ- did light mods- sold for $80k to an over-enthusiastic wannabe-black white guy from Remuera (Not Moss j/p :finger: ) --Before I moved to Napier- these were my famous 11 cars- but the Renault, Yugo and XR8 never stuck around very long- Then after the move the Pug, Stang and BMW were all that I kept- Although- I regretted letting go of the Ford and Hyundai 1994 Mazda JC Cosmo 20B- Bought it from a friend out of sympathy- it was royally fucked. --Italy-- 2002 Alfa Romeo 156 V6 you see in my sig JUST bought a 1996 FIAT Marea weekend- for the eeeerrrrrr..... Weekend- It lugged my stuff quite nicely to Genoa adn it is good for vacation use- very reliable as well- Use when the Alfa is a away for mods.... Whats next??? A Maserati Ghibli Cup or Ferrar 348TS So if you never got to post in Replicvants thread post here (FEel free to repost your rides as well ) and remember NO FLAMING!!!!

1990 Mazda Familia (323) hatchback. My very first car. Bought when I first arrived in NZ. Never really had any major problems with it.
1995 Mitsubishi FTO GPX. My first sports car and the car of my dreams at the time. I really miss that car. Some day I will buy another one because it was so awesome to drive. My current car: 1996 Nissan Skyline R33 GTS25t Series II Coupe. Awesome, awesome, awesome. What more can I say??? My next car will definitely be an R34 GT-t. I'm a Skyline addict now!!

sheeeeesh, kids today..... [Grampa voice]When I was a lad[/grampa] my first car was a piece of shit. And my second. and my third[which we snapped in half]The 4th,5th and 6th were all slightly better, but were still British Leyland dogs. My first real car was an Opel Manta 2.0l gt/e coupe.....compared with the crap that I'd owned before,it was a brilliant vehicle.Went like snot, too bad I left it in England.SHOULD HAVE PAID THE FREIGHT TO SHIP IT WITH ME! Bought A '78 Cortina when I got to N.Z......This was in the days before secondhand Jap imports were allowed, and cars were waaaaaaaaaay overpriced in NZ....Running A 2.3 V6 mill on CNG [poor man's NOS! ],took it 4 times round the clock and crippled several motors in the process... That was sent to the auction when we had kids....it wasn't worth getting rear seat belts fitted...... the 'Mazda' Ford Laser s/w followed, then the Diseasel....... SHIT even Judge runs a better car now...Can I sink any lower? :o :o |
