Actually, it is pretty light. I have a 2000 model Altezza ( I live in Japan) with just about every NA mod you can make, and I am putting around 260 hp to the rear wheels. the Japanese model comes with 4 cyl in 2 variations, the quickest being the Beams 3S-GE with VVTi. I have the 6-speed rs200z model, and If I can figure it out I will attach a few pics...

Re: Altezza Performance

there is no turbo option stock here on the altezza. there are many aftermarket trubos offered, but the most common mod is probably the blitz supercharger kit.

Re: Altezza Performance

thanks. I am still working on it. Can you see the pics of the engine as well? I am new to this forum stuff, so I am not sure if i did it right. I ordered my supercharger from blitz today, so that should be on soon. We dynoed it at 262 RWHP, so I am hoping for about 320 or so if we do it right.

damn im gettin all confused... the altezza comes with a 4th gen 3sge engine with 170hp? or am i thinking of a different 3sge... also why wouldnt it come with the turboed 3sgte? i know the 4th gen 3sgte doesnt come with vvt-i but then again none of the other ones did either and people are still making huge power on them...

Re: Altezza Performance

Not sure of the gen, but my car is the "Beams" 3g-se vvti with the 6 speed tranny. Stock it had 210 hp, but I never dynoed it until i did the air cleaner and exhaust. At that time I got 225. We then did cams, plugs, earthing, ecu tune, airflow meter re-tune, and we went to a peak at 265 rwhp. At this hp and tuning state, it was a little uncomfortable a slower speeds, so we tuned it down a little so the fuel ratio was a little better for normal driving conditions.
As for the turbo, I am not sure why but toyota never offered it here. I guess the japanese we satisfied with the N/A, and there were plenty of other turbos on the market here already. As soon as the car came out, the aftermarket already had the turbo kits ready though.....
