Automatic shoulder harness seatbelts
When I bought this car (1991 Dodge Colt) the automatic shoulder harnesses weren't working at all. Ther passenger side was stuck in the fore posistion and the drivers side was stuck in the aft position. No biggy. I drove it like that. Lately the freeze plug went out on the block so I replaced it. To get to it I removed the left fan, exhaust manifold, generator and disconnected the battery. After I got it all back together I heard this ding ding tone like the lights were left on or the door was left open. Then all of a sudden the automatic shoulder harness motors started activating. They attempt to move but always go back the same stuck positions. I unplugged a fuse for the dinging noise (same one for the dome lamp). The seat belts are constantly cycling now though and it's a but annoying driving down the road. I guess I'm looking for any suggestions to temporarily shut off the shoulder harness motors. None of the fuses seem to work. Are there more fuses somewhere else beside under drivers dash? Do these motors even have a fuse or is it wired straight into the battery? Dunno! Please help.

Re: Automatic shoulder harness seatbelts
Found the problem. It was the automatic belt control unit.
