BMW 635 CSi 24h Spa Winner 1984
Hi everyone
I have coplete this builth 4 years ago. It was a big challenge cause ,almost no reference pictures existing from this car. I am happy to be a swiss,so i tried to contact mr.Marc Surer himself he has driven this Race Car. He reply me and send me some really usefull pictures, also from his suit, what was a reason for me to make a driver figure of himself. About details of the car,as i said it was hard to find pics exactly of this car,i have found some but not from the cockpit ,engineroom and everything other usefull detail pictures. So i take an eye to other ref.pics from the same car,but from other races. I am sure my model dos not match a 100% details of the original car. thats how i started. I took the Fujimi high tech kit, with some metal parts. A lot of aftermarket stuff, and some parts are scratch builth. I dont tell you a lot how i build the model, its 4 years ago,and hard to remind myself,so i just let pictures talk.... First some ref. pics i took. Now pictures from building the model: Before: After: How i make the window glas. Its done: Finished Model: Early pictures: Pictures Today, also with some dust on it.... Thats it. Regards Roger |

Amazing attention and detail, but weathering is too much for my taste.
Love the car though. Great job.

very nice work and diorama at the end.
Marc Surer will be happy for all this ..I love also his tennis shoes. So typical 70's...

Superb build.
THe amount of detail you put in is amazing. Very well executed. And the little dio you made looks really atmospheric. |

Nice looking model. Weathering is a good touch.

Very impressive model, did you also use the Hasegawa kit in there for detail along with the Tamiya kit or is the detailing from the actual kit?
