Re: Drift pics (56k killer!!)
I love it, It drifts really good for me, It's a stock setup with economy tires.
Why would you try to grip race with a drift car?

it was either my 2nd or 3rd car, so it was the best out of my current bunch, so i figured since its an FC, it'd handle good without me tweaking anything.

Hey all, I'm a new subscriber, but have been reading threads for a little while now for some GT3 stuff and now GT4. The changeover for me from GT3 to GT4 was a little bit to get used to, but I think I'm really starting to dig GT4.
I've got a few questions. If any of this stuff is posted somewhere else, please pass that along, but uptil now I haven't found it. The pics in this thread about drifting are really cool. I never did much drifting in GT3, but I am interested now. Where is this done in GT4? Arcade mode and you just setup the car in order to do this? I also can't seem to figure out how to utilize photo mode. It sure would be nice if the instruction book told you how to do this. Just like in this thread, I'd like to capture cars I'm driving around different courses. Thanks for any help Jeff |

well, for starters, you have to drift in Gran Turismo mode (simulation) to get action pics. but more importantly, you're gonna have to learn how to drift, its alot harder this time around. anyways though, to get action pictures, you first must go to an individual track. they're located under "world circuits", "original circuits" and etc. then select photo drive. next just race around the track anyway you like, then once you're done romping around, go and watch the replay. at anytime during the replay, press the select button to bring up the photo mode, then after that its all up to you. good luck

ok challenge time. i've been practicing some Initial D style racing on Apricot Hill. for those who arent in the know, i mean racing but drifting every corner if possible. so anyways, i did a family car cup on Apricot Hill and bumped the difficulty all the way up to 10. so i was stacked up against the new prototype NSX, Tommy Kaira ZZ2, TVR Speed 12, McLaren SLR and 2 other badass cars i forgot. anyways though, i ended up roastin their asses in a single 2 lap race, proving drifting can be more effective than grip driving (on this track atleast with only 2 laps, tires were gettin burnt purty fast ). so, my best time was 1:22.508. i'll get pics up soon showin a sequence of me drifting that very first slight turn that gets straight for a few feet then turns into a hairpin.

drifting the Cobra R
I know, two are at the entry of the corner, before it really kicks around, but they were pretty cool looking, so I had to include them. |

Re: Drift pics (56k killer!!)
Oh, and that's slammed in the weeds, with a lot of negative camber, and super softs. I haven't actually set up a car for drifting. I might go back and win that FC again, and try it out.
