mysterious cautions...

ok so the race today was going to have an exciting finish... until nascar threw another one of their wonderful debris cautions that no one else can see. it is just downright ridiculous now. i am 100% convinced that they do this on purpose in an effort to help certain drivers or to tighten the field up for the finish. its bullshit. ive been thinking this for 2 years and after it just keeps happening im sure its no accident. what a joke

thoughts?

Re: mysterious cautions...

i ddnt see the dibris, but for all we konw it could have been a piece of foam from with in the cars, like robby gordon last yr.
i dnt care wat they throw cuations for, watching someone lead the entire race(denny hamlin last yr at pocono) it's boring, u can almost always guess who will win. only traffic screws that up

Re: mysterious cautions...

well it might have been exciting to see who runs out of gas and who doesnt. but being boring is another issue... nascar needs to stop running so many of these damn 1.5 milers. they are all like this. i dont like them one bit. tony stewart had some great comments about them last week. i am so glad bristol is coming up its ridiculous. only bad thing about it is texas is after it. we get rid of tracks people love like rockingham and put this bullshit in, its stupid. i think the new iowa speedway is a track they need to seriously consider also. i also think no track should get two dates, except daytona maybe just because its daytona.

Re: mysterious cautions...

i agree to many cookie cutter 1.5 mile tracks. isnt there like a one mile dirt track that i think ARCA runs on i think its called like springfield or something that would be excititng. but yeah they took away the rock because theres to many tracks in the carolina's and they wanted to diversify and expand which is bull shit. But w/e nascar can do almost anything and we would still all watch

unfortunatly that is largely the case. but if indy cars get their act together and get some popular drivers, nascar might have to listen to their fans eventually. however as it looks right now... that day is pretty far off.

as for running a dirt track, that would be insanely awesome, but its not going to happen. a good candidate might be eldora though, the track tony stewart owns here in ohio. iroc will race there if they get sponsorship. it would cost money cause they'd build specific cars for dirt tracks, but hey, its not like they dont already do that for road courses and superspeedways...

Re: mysterious cautions...

ive been a die hard nascar guy since i can remember but the racing in the open wheel ranks is so much more exciting if they could get there act together. yeah nascar could care less about the fans at this point they just want more markets

Re: mysterious cautions...

that sucks, i got lucky i guess. the indy 500 is about 2 hours from me, and kentucky and mid-ohio are both about 1.5 hours.

Re: mysterious cautions...

20 minutes from Chicagoland (Joliet) and my loving family has yet to send me on my mary way for the first time since it opened

Having my will re-written back to cremation and ashes dumped on turn 4 @ Daytona, if they can't give me a living wish, why should I give them a dying wish

Re: mysterious cautions...

Perfectly understandable and not rude at all.

To clarify, in the merry role of "Dad", with mouths to feed, clothing and shelter to rpovide, and a home under contruction, being the electrician, carpenter, plumber, and overall general ocntractor I know our budget. I have to plan months in advance around it.

SO, it would be a nice treat to finally get my wish of waking up on father's day (which just so happens to be a few weeks just before the race), getting breakfast in bed (will settle for cold beer), and an envelope with the damn tickets in it.

It should happen someday, hell it only took 3 years to get a air compressor that wouldn't blow the garage circuit sky high

Re: mysterious cautions...

opk, i honostly thought u were like in college or something, and u thought maybe ur mom or dad would by it. but i understand u have other more important things in life. racing is a luxery to go to an event.
i want to race porsche and others like that(scca) most people say racing is a luxery, i look at it as a passion something i want to do and nomatter the sacrifice i will do. i'm 19, i have my whole life to get there.
