has anyone converted Silver Sprit ignition?

I am about to convert my 1981 silver sprit dead ignition to an XR700 elecronic ingition. Any one has done this? Can you tell me where the ignition controller is located? The injection controller is under the dashboard and next to it there is a samll black box is that the controller?
Any advice from anyone on how to without damage to other funtions. Also does anyone have a conversion diagram?
Thanks,

I would be interested to know how you got on with your conversion.
I have a 1981 spirit which I have just had converted to run on LPG. I would be happy to share info about this.
